Toilet Water Shutoff- FlowTite Valve

While hoping that one never needs to find this out, Not all toilet water shut offs are the same! Growing up, my parent's home had a traditional toilet water shut off that was like the below - 

Low and behold, the first time we had an issue that we needed to turn off our toilet tank, our shut off valve looked like this and we didn't know what to do! This was not a traditional righty-tighty, lefty-loosy situation. 

Turns out we have a FLOWTITE water valve installed and instructions around turning this one off is a little different. This is a pull the knob out to close off the water and push the knob back in to turn the water back on. Make sure you use two hands and support the pipe at the base as you open and close the valve. You may need to put a little muscle into it as ours was very tough!
