Replacing Toilet Seat
So there comes a time in every toilet's life that it is time to change the seat. Reasons could include that it slams too loud when closing, it's too loose, or you're just ready for a new one.
Today I was able to replace a toilet seat in under 15 minutes! Here's how it's done:
Step 1: Make sure you buy the correct size toilet seat. There are elongated toilets and regular toilet seats (more circular). You can figure out which seat works for your bathroom by measuring from the screws to the end of the seat.
Step 2: Remove the old seat from the toilet. Pop up the plastic caps showing on the top of the toilet so you can see the screws. Hold the bottom bolt under the toilet while you use a drill to unscrew the screw from the top. Repeat for both bolts.
Step 3. Open up the new toilet seat and pieces. Line up the new toilet seat on the toilet.
Step 4. Once you are satisfied, place the long screws through the hole and screw them tight with the bolt. Feel free to use a screwdriver or a drill.
Step 5: Close the plastic squares! You're done!
